I’m a lifelong writer with a passion for telling stories that are worthy of more attention.
My philosophy is that complex subject matter should be accessible to audiences of all backgrounds. My goal is to translate complex subject matter into consumable, informative content without sacrificing nuance.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Portland in 2017, I moved to Seattle to start my first professional writing job as an Associate Editor for Air Cargo World — an internationally-recognized publication in the logistics industry. My education and background in business writing enables me to write about all topics in a practical, economically-informed tone.
After transitioning to freelancing in 2019, I started covering technology, healthcare, psychology news, mental health, education, human rights topics. My articles are typically long-form features that draw from scientific studies and feature expert commentary. I have interviewed hundreds of academics, scientists, and industry experts for my stories.
My work has been featured in affordablecollegesonline.org, psychology.org, onlinemba.com, psychcentral.com, nursejournal.org, healthcaredegree.com, and counselingschools.com. Samples of my work can be found in my Portfolio.
